How to Make Parmesan Steak

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

Before starting, gather all the ingredients needed for this delicious Parmesan steak. This ensures a smooth cooking process.

Step 2: Season the Meat

Peel and finely chop the garlic. Place the steaks on a plate, add salt, and rub it in with clean fingers to evenly distribute the seasoning.

Step 3: Prepare the Egg Mixture

Crack the eggs into a shallow dish and beat them with a fork. Add a small amount of water to dilute the mixture and set aside. Pour the breadcrumbs into a large container for coating.

Step 4: Bread the Steaks

Dip each steak into the egg and water mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Then, coat the steak with breadcrumbs. Repeat the process one more time, passing the steak through the eggs again and then back into the breadcrumbs for an extra crispy crust. Repeat for all steaks.

Step 5: Fry the Steaks

Heat a large pan over medium heat. Once hot, fry the steaks in batches to maintain the oil temperature. Once golden brown, place them on a serving dish and set aside.

Step 6: Prepare the Tomato Sauce

Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat a pan with a little oil and sauté the onion for about 2 minutes until lightly golden. Pour in the tomato sauce and let it simmer for about 2 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Step 7: Assemble and Bake

Place the fried steaks in a baking dish and pour the tomato sauce over them. Top with mozzarella cheese slices. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.

Step 8: Serve and Enjoy

Remove from the oven and serve this delicious Parmesan steak with white rice and crispy shoestring potatoes. Enjoy your meal!

Tips for the Perfect Parmesan Steak:

  • For a crispier crust, repeat the breading process twice.
  • Fry the steaks in batches to maintain oil temperature.
  • If you prefer, add grated Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture for extra flavor.
  • Serve with a fresh green salad for a balanced meal.
